Organisation Description

The Centre for Suicide and Violence Research (CSVR) is a registered research centre run by academics at the Department of Psychology, University of Ghana. It special interest is to prevent suicide/self harm behaviours among young people and also reduce violence of all forms against people (with special interest on children). Knowledge generation (through research) to inform training, advocacy and policy direction is a key methodology of the Centre. The Centre seeks to build collaborative relationships with various civil society groups, government institutions and international agencies with similar focus on preventing suicide/self harm and end violence
